In early 2010, The BayView re-opened as a Memory Support Assisted Living Community featuring a redesign of our building and innovative research-based programming that treats the symptoms of those living with memory problems.

Professional Program Directors oversee our two program and living areas, which serve different groups of residents:

• Our secure Memory Support Neighborhood serves those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia who clearly benefit from a more secure environment, perhaps because they are at risk for wandering.
  
• Residents experiencing the early symptoms of dementia (mild memory problems, some confusion) enjoy a less restrictive environment while benefitting from a full array of memory support services, all focused on maintaining and improving brain fitness for a higher quality of life.

The BayView is the first assisted living community in our area to address the needs of those who are experiencing the early symptoms of dementia, often defined as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). 

The BayView offers local seniors a supportive nurturing environment and their families the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is receiving the very best of care. The BayView is family-owned and managed by Senior Living Residences of South Boston.

Serving the Community

The BayView's location in South Boston across from Carson Beach offers convenience, water views, and easy access to familiar landmarks, such as the L Street Bathhouse and Castle Island. The community features 39 lovely apartments, comfortable community rooms, a large front porch overlooking Dorchester Bay, and a quiet backyard with several patios.

The BayView serves local seniors throughout Boston, MA, including the neighborhoods of South Boston, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury and Roslindale, as well as in neighboring towns and cities, including Milton, Randolph, Quincy, and Cambridge, MA. The BayView also serves the South Shore, including the towns of Weymouth, Hingham, Braintree, Cohasset, Scituate, Duxbury, Marshfield, and Rockland.
