Methuen Village Raises $1,700 for Alzheimer’ ’s Research with help from the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant & Bar

Methuen (July 5, 2011) – Methuen Village Assisted Living in downtown Methuen has already raised $1,700 for Alzheimer’s research as it gears up for a “Memory Ride” fundraiser in a couple of weeks. The initial fundraiser to support the popular bicycling event was held at the Texas Roadhouse, located at 424 Broadway in Methuen.

“We want to publicly say a BIG thank you to Texas Roadhouse for their incredible generosity in supporting our local Alzheimer’s Association. The monies raised through our event at the Texas Roadhouse as well as the ride on July 23 will be used for research, education and support for individuals and their families dealing with Alzheimer’s,” said Ben Boulter, Executive Director of Methuen Village.

Boulter added that Methuen Village’s commitment to innovative treatment and care for people with Alzheimer’s disease extends beyond his own assisted living community. “We are continuously looking for ways to promote research towards better treatment and ultimately a cure for this disease. Our participation in the Memory Ride this summer, as well as the Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk in the fall, is part of that commitment.”
