The Cambridge Homes offers gracious independent and assisted living in an historic Georgian-style brick building just minutes from Harvard Square next to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. The Cambridge Homes is a good choice for individuals who wish to enjoy the many benefits of city living but who also desire security, personalized services and companionship.

The residents of The Cambridge Homes enjoy its relaxed ambiance, stimulating social and cultural programs, and top quality services. They lead independent lives yet enjoy the advantages of living in a caring community where everyone's voice is heard.

The Cambridge Homes serves seniors throughout the City of Cambridge, as well as the neighboring towns of Belmont, Arlington and Watertown, MA and beyond.

 

A Not-For-Profit Tradition of Caring Since 1899

The Cambridge Homes has a rich tradition of service to the Cambridge community. The not-for-profit organization was established by a group of Cambridge citizens (including Alice Longfellow, the poet's daughter) over 100 years ago. The Cambridge Homes' charitable mission continues to be carried out today by an active nine-member Board of Directors and 50 Incorporators, all from the Cambridge, MA community.

Volunteers from the Cambridge area serve on the Friends' Committee sponsoring a variety of in-house programs and acting as medical escorts for residents, driving them to and providing companionship during physician visits.

The Cambridge Homes' Board of Directors is committed to using a portion of its endowment fund for financial scholarships to help defray costs for Cambridge residents with limited means. Our staff can review your financial situation and healthcare needs to determine if you qualify for a financial scholarship.
