Farmington Station Residents Celebrate Flag Day

FARMINGTON, CT — The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a lot of uncertainty, especially among seniors, who are at higher risk of experiencing complications from the novel coronavirus. With state-wide restrictions starting to ease and residents looking forward to enjoying all that summer has to offer, Farmington Station Senior Living is finding opportunities to allow residents to safely come together and celebrate special moments again. On June 14th, the Assisted Living and Compass Memory Support Community celebrated Flag Day, a holiday commemorating the adoption of the American flag, with miniature flags, festive glasses and a goodie bag filled with facts and trivia, patriotic pins and snacks.

“We are taking advantage of opportunities like this to bring joy to residents,” says Frank Rende, Director of Community Relations at Farmington Station. “We know social interaction and having things to look forward to are crucial to our residents’ quality of life, along with keeping them safe and healthy.”
