Come Together to Meet New Friends, Get Advice and Share Support
Memory cafes are essentially social gatherings where individuals with memory impairment and their adult caregivers come together in a supportive environment, share conversation over a cup of coffee or participate in fun, simple activities with the group. It’s an opportunity to meet others for support, companionship, and fun. This free series is offered in partnership with Ridgefield Station Assisted Living & Memory Care, the Ridgefield Recreation Center and the Ridgefield Library.
The programming provides structured activities to promote reminiscing, cognition, and engagement for those with dementia, while offering caregivers an opportunity to make new friends and build strong, supportive, social connections.
**While the Memory Cafe is open to anyone in the community, any guest who requires a personal care attendant must have a caregiver present.
The group will meet in person at the Ridgefield Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Rd, Ridgefield CT, on the 2nd Monday of each month. Upcoming dates are February 10th and March 10th.
Reservation is required. Register online at RidgefieldParksAndRec.org or call 203-431-2755 (press 1).
