A Therapeutic Neighborhood for those with Memory Loss in Stoughton, MA
Imagine your Mom or Dad in a safe, nurturing environment where their mild memory loss or Alzheimer’s diseases symptoms are treated thoughtfully. What distinguishes us from other assisted living communities is our dedication to research-driven programming within a therapeutic, residential atmosphere.
Our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood® is carefully designed with a bright dining room and Reconnections Learning Classroom. You’ll also notice several sensory stations around the neighborhood in Compass that are designed to help redirect or engage residents. These thoughtful design elements enhance residents’ confidence and sense of autonomy as they navigate their surroundings. We also incorporate the latest research on environmental design for individuals with memory impairment, including discreet security systems and dedicated spaces for specialized programming.
IN-HOUSE FITNESS EXPERT
Our dedicated Exercise Physiologist, Austin Cooper, is on staff leading group fitness classes on both Assisted Living as well as our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood.
Austin also works with residents one-on-one to improve balance, strength, gait and overall physical well-being by creating an individualized fitness plan.
Mediterranean Diet-Inspired Dining at Brookmeadow
Residents at Brookmeadow genuinely love their dining experience. Each meal features a diverse menu featuring fresh, healthful ingredients and exceptional service.
Our daily offerings are inspired by our award-winning Brain Healthy Cooking Program, rooted in the well-researched Mediterranean diet, which supports brain health and cognitive function. We use a variety of “brain healthy” ingredients in our delicious, taste-tested recipes, including seafood, lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, olive oil, nuts, and eggs. Our Director of Dining Experience is committed to transforming residents’ favorite traditional and regional recipes into healthier options by swapping refined sugars for natural sweeteners and replacing unhealthy fats with nutritious alternatives.
Additionally, we offer our signature “Spice of Life” blend as a salt substitute to help residents lower their salt intake. Schedule a tour to experience our Brain Healthy Cooking Program firsthand and take home a bottle of Spice of Life for the whole family to enjoy!
