featuring cars from many different decades.
The stunning variety of rides dazzled the crowd of residents, families, friends, and staff on Sept. 18.
The community was delighted to host an afternoon of family-friendly activities to keep all attendees engaged.
The community rallied to make the car show bigger this year, thanks to the help of a local car club and ads placed in Facebook groups and in local stores to further engage the community.
This year, the event brought a record-breaking 50 vehicles together.
Attendees enjoyed hot dogs, novelty ice creams, and snacks, while a DJ played the top 40 from
the 1950s.
In addition to the entertainment, residents and families were excited to see and take pictures with the range of old and new cars at the show.
There was even a 1950s sock hop getup on display to immerse attendees in the decade.
The event helped the community raise several hundred dollars for the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“We have received a lot of positive feedback from attendees, stating how well organized and run it was and that they can’t wait to come back next year,” said Farmington Station’s EnrichedLIFE Director Michelle Motta.
The goal of this event and others at the assisted living community is to engage with the greater community and bring unique experiences and adventures to the seniors living there.
