Farmington Station Provides Over 100 Meals to Local Seniors

BRISTOL, CT – In an effort to give back to the community during these uncertain times, Farmington Station Senior Living partnered with the Bristol Senior Center to provide more than 115 meals to local seniors during a curbside pick up event held at the senior center on Friday, September 11th.

The meals included chicken piccata or teriyaki salmon with roasted herb potatoes and green beans with New York-style cheesecake, created by Farmington Station’s own culinary team and inspired by the community’s Brain Healthy Cooking Program. The meal kits also included packets of saigon cinnamon and Spice of Life, a custom blend of 18 different fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices to be used as a tasty salt substitute.

“At Farmington Station, we value not just our own community of residents and associates but the greater Farmington Valley community that we call home,” said Executive Director Jessica Ferreira. “It was great to have the opportunity to give back to our neighbors by providing delicious, healthy meals to the older adults in our community.”
