We asked our associates…

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

“Every day I walk through the front door of our community I strive to change the lives of my residents, families and associates.  Whether it’s meeting with a family in crisis that is looking for assisted living or memory care support for their loved one, greeting a resident with a smile and hug in the hallway or talking through a challenging situation with an associate…I get to make a difference every single day.”

– Lindsay Miller, Executive Director

“The most rewarding part of what we do here for me is, watching the transformation. So many times I hear the scenarios of mom or dad home alone, little to no socialization, poor eating and sleep habits, sometimes recovering from a fall, and just generally not successful at home any longer. Most of the time the seniors are resistant to the idea of leaving a home of many years, and making a move. Once we get through the barriers and they move in with us, it is so rewarding to get to witness them get a new lease on life, make new friendships, be involved with all different programs we offer, enjoy meaningful conversations with their peers over a home cooked meal, all while having the privacy and dignity in their own apartment. Seeing them live their best life in a beautiful community with a lifestyle they couldn’t imagine prior to seeing us, is the most rewarding part of what I do!”

-Bryan Walsh, Director of Community Relations

“It is most rewarding to me to make the connection with  residents and Families that leads to the relationship that my team and I have with them. Giving them a clean , safe place to live and enjoy, it is what we are all about.”

Jim Moynihan, Director of Building & Grounds

“I would have to say That the most rewarding part of my job, has to be the relationship I have built throughout my 27 year career in Senior Services. My residents have become family to me, I have become their family. Well, what can I say ‘a way to a person’s heart is through their stomach!’ I love what I do and the difference I have made in their life. But most importantly the difference they have made in mine.”

-Claribel Alago, Director of Dining Experience

I love my job, being here for 10 years speaks volumes. It allows me to grow, knowing that there’s opportunity to learn and do better.

– Ana Sharp, Director of Business Administration

“The most rewarding part of my job is helping a resident through a difficult time, whether it be an issue with a family member or a new diagnosis.  A thank you isn’t even needed because you can just tell they are so grateful!”

-Mermisa Carney, Resident Care Director
