Senior Living Residences Marlboro offers both Assisted Living and Compass Memory Support care options designed to support seniors in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life now and as they age in place. Prior to move-in, each resident receives a personalized wellness care plan (reviewed semi-annually), developed by our team with input from their family and physician tailored to meet your individual needs, preferences and requests.
Assisted Living at SLR Marlboro
Assisted Living at SLR Marlboro is for mostly independent seniors who want some support with daily tasks and personal care. Our care philosophy emphasizes respecting personal dignity and promoting choice, involving residents in decisions about their care and services. Residents live independently in their own apartment homes, which include studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options, but have access to a supportive community right outside their door.
SLR Marlboro offers a “right-sized” assisted living with different service program options to meet individual needs as they age in place. You can also have peace of mind knowing we have Certified Resident Care Associates available 24/7 as well as several RNs on our team who are available 7 days a week, ensuring we are maintaining the highest level of care for each of our residents.
One monthly rate covers:

Compass Memory Support at SLR Marlboro is a comprehensive and holistic treatment program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. This innovative program aims to treat the symptoms of memory loss through social engagement, lifelong learning, physical fitness, the arts, and an award-winning Brain Healthy Cooking Program. Research suggests that social interventions, like the ones found in Compass, can be as effective as some medications for dementia symptoms.
Our Compass Neighborhood is designed like a home, offering a nurturing and secure environment where residents’ emotional happiness, dignity and independence are supported and encouraged every day. Our high staff-to-resident ratio, and environmental state-of-the-art design features — such as careful attention to bright lighting and unobtrusive security systems –help those with memory loss navigate their world safely with more confidence and independence. All of our apartments feature private bedrooms, even shared Companion Suites.
Services and amenities specific to the Compass neighborhood include:
- Full-time Director of Compass Programming, a Certified Dementia Practitioner® (CDP)
- Certified Resident Care Associates available 24/7, specially trained in Alzheimer’s care
- Overnight safety checks and safety escorts to meals and programs
- Reconnections, an adult learning curriculum that uses art, music, fitness and socialization to engage individuals with dementia

Secure Outdoor Courtyard
Memory Support residents can safely access a scenic outdoor courtyard, beautifully landscaped with a walking path. Research shows that spending time in nature has so many benefits for the mind, body and soul, especially for older adults.
Extended Care Provided Onsite
SLR Marlboro works with a number of care providers to help provide additional support to our residents outside of their community wellness plan.
Fox Rehab has a state-of-the-art physical therapy and occupational therapy studio located on the second floor of SLR Marlboro. Residents have the convenience of receiving these services in the comfort of our community.
We also partner with Grace Healthcare to provide on-site hospice and palliative care services 7 days a week (7am – 7pm) within the community. This allows residents to receive services in the comfort of their own apartment. While hospice care is not included in residents’ monthly payment, it is a program often covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies.
