MARLBORO, NJ— Senior Living Residences Marlboro (SLR Marlboro) was full of music, dance, and energy last month for an intergenerational prom with The Goddard School of Marlboro, the community’s neighbor and steadfast partner for the past few years.

On a beautiful afternoon in June, kids from the Goddard School put on their best prom outfits and were greeted with a warm welcome from the Assisted Living & Memory Support community’s residents and staff. The children performed a few dances for the seniors, and the residents joined in for the final number!

This senior and student dance is just the latest event from the meaningful partnership between both organizations. Once a month, SLR Marlboro and The Goddard School engage in intergenerational programming that inspires both the younger and older generations to build bonds, gain wisdom, and bring out their inner child. Some of their favorite activities to do together include gardening in the spring and trick-or-treating in the fall.
