In 2009 Senior Living Residences became the first assisted living company in the US to implement a specialized nutrition program, based on the Mediterranean Diet, to improve overall brain health for our residents. Since then the Mediterranean Diet has created enormous buzz and is now ranked the healthiest diet in the world, and easiest to follow, by US News & World Report.

This public education program brings our research and expertise to professionals and the general public about how to eat well to boost your cognitive and whole body health. As a way to expand our reach even further, SLR forged a strategic partnership with Oldways, creator of the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid, and launched BrainHealthyCooking.com

Boost Your Brain Health By Eating Well

Hear the benefits of making more mindful and healthful food choices and learn how to cook “brain healthy” at home. This course also reviews the science behind the Mediterranean Diet.

In this 1 hour program, participants will discover why you should cook Brain Healthy for every meal and then we will show you how to do it!

  • Learn how to shop for brain-healthy ingredients, helping you eat nutritiously
  • SLR’s chefs demonstrate how to cook easy and tasty Mediterranean-style meals for 1-2 people
  • Get tips on using the same ingredients for several meals to stretch your shopping budget and reduce food waste
