Farmington Station Renews Commitment to Excellence in Memory Support with Purple Flag

FARMINGTON, CT– Residents and associates from Farmington Station recently gathered to celebrate the renewal of their Purple Flag™️ Excellence in Dementia Care accreditation, recognizing the senior living community’s commitment and unique approach to memory support. Joined by Christopher Carter, President of Purple Flag, Farmington Station’s Executive Director, Lindsay Miller, proudly accepted the certificate of excellence on Farmington Station’s behalf.  

As a community whose focus is on providing person-centered, individualized care to match the specific needs and goals of each resident, Farmington Station was among the first senior living communities in the nation to receive Purple Flag reaccreditation back in 2023. As the Executive Director who led Farmington Station to both Purple Flag accreditation and reaccreditation, Miller proudly shared the journey that it took to impress the prestigious organization that Purple Flag is, year after year. 

“Our initial Purple Flag application process in 2023 assessed our community’s care approach, programs, training processes, and general day-to-day operations against some pretty rigorous standards. We were absolutely thrilled to be among the first in the nation to be recognized by Purple Flag,” Miller shared in her speech. “I could not be prouder to lead a team that puts residents’ needs above all else while simultaneously building each other up to grow personally and professionally.”
