It was January 2006 when Nashoba Park Assisted Living, a historic renovation of the former Ayer Community Hospital, opened its doors to its first residents. The 1928 building, on the National Register of Historic Places, was completely restored and a new wing was added to create 73 apartments, beautiful community rooms and remarkable outdoor spaces, including an enclosed outdoor courtyard and patio which is also a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
The community held a garden party and ceremony on June 15th to celebrate this milestone and acknowledge those associates and residents who have been with the assisted living community since its inception.
The development of Nashoba Park was spearheaded by the Volunteers of America-Massachusetts (VOA MASS), a faith based non-profit organization that is one of America’s largest developers of senior care and housing facilities. The community is managed by Senior Living Residences, LLC of Boston.
