Purple Flag Community

Setting the Standard for Dementia Care in New Jersey

What is Purple Flag?

Choosing memory support for someone you love is one of the hardest decisions a family can face. You want to know they’ll be safe, known, respected, and treated like the person they’ve always been. That’s why we’re proud to be the first community in New Jersey to earn the Purple Flag Excellence in Dementia Care accreditation. This accreditation program awards senior living communities, Long Term Care facilities, and Home Care Agencies who take the extra mile when caring for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Purple Flag pushes seniors living with memory loss to keep getting better and prove that there is no age limit to learning, growth, or creativity.

Purple Flag looks for the communities who provide the best possible quality of care in a safe, engaging, and social setting. In order to become Purple Flag accredited, communities must follow over 100 standards of care. Our continuous commitment to state-of-the-art care earned us this recognition. We understand that supporting seniors goes beyond medications and treatments. It is in engaging activities, a well-balanced diet, and opportunities to continue learning no matter what stage in the aging process one may be at.

Our team’s person-centered care approach puts each resident’s specific needs, goals, and preferences above all else, and led to our community being the very first senior living community in the state to achieve Purple Flag accreditation! For us, this recognition comes down to something simple: every resident is an individual. Our team gets to know each person’s needs, goals, and preferences, and builds their care around them. We could not be prouder to have brought this wonderful organization to New Jersey.

Why Choose a Purple Flag Accredited Community?

  • Purple Flag recognizes organizations that go above and beyond every day
  • Residents are seen as individuals first with their own needs, histories and preferences
  • Accredited communities don’t stop at meeting physical care needs; they work to enhance cognitive, emotional and spiritual wellbeing through care, support and programing
  • Providers are given the resources they need to stay ahead of the curve in providing high-quality care, which directly aligns with our focus on innovation
  • Families and professional partners can have trust in referring their loved ones/clients to a Purple Flag accredited community because they know the flag symbolizes a high quality of life and commitment to excellence
  • Highly skilled caregivers are attracted to working at communities that have this gold standard in memory care
