Nashoba Park Heats up the Summer with Wood-Fired Pizza Truck

AYER, MA – Associates and a lucky group of residents at Nashoba Park Assisted Living in Ayer got a special surprise recently when Vesta Wood-Fired Pizza came by to whip up customized pizzas. Dining on the specialty pies al fresco, residents and staff enjoyed an evening meal out in the community’s sunny courtyard.

Rhonda Caissie, who owns and operates the mobile wood-fired pizza truck, is the niece of a Nashoba Park resident. She brought her truck to the Assisted Living community for an associate appreciation event, but wanted to use the opportunity to also serve up a special meal for her aunt and a few friends.

“We wanted to say thank you to the team at Nashoba Park for all of their hard work these past few months,” said Caissie. “To be able to give back to this community while also making memories with my aunt and her friends was really heart-warming.”

“The team just lit up seeing the pizza truck pull in,” said Libby Mattei, Executive Director of Nashoba Park. “Being able to bring some joy to an otherwise normal day for our associates is really the best part of my job.”
