Nashoba Park Residents Participate in 8th Annual Hunger Run 5K

Each year, Nashoba Valley Medical Center organizes a Hunger Run to benefit the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, a non-profit organization that provides food and temporary support services to residents of Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. The 5K takes participants through the groomed field trails behind the Medical Center, a portion of the Nashua River Rail Trail, and roads through scenic farmlands.

This year, Nashoba Park Assisted Living sponsored the event and even gathered a group of residents to participate. Pictured with them is Korry Dow, President of Nashoba Valley Medical Center.

“The Hunger Run is truly a community event for all ages to get moving while supporting fellow community members in need who benefit from Loaves & Fishes,” said Dow. “Seeing the Nashoba Park residents walk side-by-side with children, teens, families and runners made the day’s activities extra special.”
