Nashoba Park Holds Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic for Residents and Staff

AYER, MA – On Friday, January 29th, residents and staff of Nashoba Park were able to get their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. This was one of the region’s first Assisted Living community clinics.

The vaccines were administered by CVS Health/Omnicare through an arrangement between the healthcare company and Senior Living Residences of Braintree, MA, which manages Nashoba Park.

“This is an exciting day for our residents and our entire team here at Nashoba Park,” said Kimberly Gagnon, the community’s Executive Director. “We’re all feeling very thankful that Assisted Living communities were prioritized to receive the vaccine, and looking forward to our next clinic in just a few short weeks.”

After receiving their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, each person was monitored by a nurse in a waiting area for fifteen minutes. During that time, the mood was upbeat. Many posed for photos or took selfies with their “I Got My Covid-19 Vaccine” stickers, to post to social media. Following their vaccine, staff and residents also received a small gift bag to enjoy, with colorful masks, hand sanitizer, and other treats.

“It was just a really special day for our community,” said Gagnon. Nashoba Park Assisted Living is a Volunteers of America Massachusetts non-profit senior living community located in Ayer. For more information, please visit www.NashobaPark.com.
