Executive Director Beth Cardillo Raises Awareness for Alzheimer’s on Westfield Radio

WESTFIELD, MA— Armbrook Village Executive Director Beth Cardillo spoke as a featured guest on the Wake Up Wednesday segment of the WSKB 89.5 FM Radio show on August 31st, 2022. Tina Gorman, Executive Director at the Westfield Council on Aging, hosted the segment and led Beth and fellow guest Mark Jackson in a discussion about the community and its dynamic programming.

Beth and Tina began the discussion with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease. Beth talked about ways to slow the progression of cognitive decline, the most important methods being diet and exercise. Armbrook Village’s Brain Healthy Cooking program also supports residents’ brain health and combats memory loss. The executive director also spoke on the community’s wide range of activities. Armbrook’s programming encourages socialization, community building, and movement, helping to fight the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

The conversation proved uplifting as the guests concluded that there is always hope for those living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, a message that the Armbrook Village family supports every day. Westfield and the surrounding communities can show support by attending Armbrook Village’s Alzheimer’s Walk on September 25th, or by donating to the cause.
