The Dementia Experience adopted for Dementia Friendly Quincy Project

DementiaFriendlyCommunities-Logo-4CPEarly in 2016, representatives from the City of Quincy participated in a Dementia Friendly Massachusetts Train-the-Trainer program hosted at Standish Village in Dorchester. This three-part education program, which includes The Dementia Experience, an interactive sensitivity training that allows participants to feel what it is like to have dementia, was one of the first steps the City took in their plan to become a dementia friendly community.

The city officially kicked of their Dementia Friendly Quincy campaign on July 13, 2016 at the Kennedy Center. Read more:
