Standish Village Assisted Living and Compass Memory Support, located in Dorchester’s Lower Mills, has partnered with the Milton Council on Aging to create a new memory café. The Milton Memory Café will provide those living with memory loss or dementia and their care partners, family, and friends a safe space to relax and enjoy conversation over refreshments and entertainment. Beginning on May 24th, the Milton Memory Café will be offered on the fourth Thursday of each month from 1 to 2 pm.
This serves as the newest addition to Standish Village’s Dementia Friendly Massachusetts Initiative, a movement that aims to fight the stigma of dementia and create safe spaces for those suffering from memory loss and their caregivers.
