HAMPTON, NH— Cornerstone at Hampton resident Sandra “Sandy” O’Donnell, a former scholar athlete and business professional, was granted the Lifetime Achievement Award from the community she calls home. Sandy’s husband, Rodger, joined her fellow Compass Memory Support Neighborhood residents, associates, and friends to celebrate the occasion.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is an innovative program by Senior Living Residences, the management company for Cornerstone at Hampton. This program combats the anonymity of aging by uplifting and recognizing the honoree’s personal and professional accomplishments, as well as the special impact the resident makes on the community each day.

Sandy was born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut as the oldest of two girls. Throughout childhood and adulthood, she was an avid skier, tennis and golf player, runner, and rower. She also competed in the Masters National Rowing Championships well into her 50’s.

She was also very dedicated to achieving her educational goals and developing her business career, and worked for a management consulting firm in Westport, CT. She also worked in real estate and even designed her own home! Sandy is a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She and Rodger share a son and a daughter.

At the Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony, attendees admired old photos of Sandy as a child and throughout her life. The Cornerstone community came together to recognize all the ways in which Sandy brings light, joy, and friendship to those around her.
