Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a free six-week educational program, will be held May 9, 16, & 30 and June 13, 20, & 27 from 1:00-2:30 P.M. This program is designed to provide family caregivers with the tools you need to take care of yourself. You will learn to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate your feelings, balance your life, increase your ability to make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources. Dealing with Alzheimer’s disease isn’t easy. But it is helpful to share your concerns and personal experiences with others who completely understand what you are going through. You will also learn about proven strategies to help you better care for your family member. Groups meet the second Thursday of every month with occasional special guest speakers and programs.

Cornerstone at Hampton Launches Coffee with the Chiefs
Cornerstone at Hampton will be kicking off “Coffee with The Chiefs” specifically for seniors in Hampton on Friday, April 26th. Hampton Fire Chief Jameson Ayotte and Hampton Police Chief Richard Sawyer will be making themselves available at 9:30 a.m. at the Assisted Living and Memory Support Community to deliver important information to seniors in the Hampton area.
Cornerstone at Hampton Welcomes Pioneer Residents
After 14 months of construction, Cornerstone at Hampton has opened its doors and moved in its first residents on December 1st. “This is the first community of its kind here in Hampton,” says Katrina June, Cornerstone’s Executive Director. “We are beyond thrilled to see our community finally come to life!" adds Sarah Kearney, Director of Community Relations.
Local Officials Tour Cornerstone at Hampton
Cornerstone at Hampton hosted local officials for an exclusive Hard Hat Tour of the area's newest assisted living and memory support community. Members of the town’s Board of Selectmen, planning office and police and fire departments, as well as former state Senator Nancy Stiles were present for the tour.
Cornerstone Assisted Living Brings Dementia Friendly Program to Hampton Area’s First Responders
Cornerstone at Hampton believes it’s time for a better understanding of dementia and has been offering comprehensive Dementia Awareness trainings to first responders in the Hampton area. The training has already been completed by the Brentwood Police Department and Hampton Fire Department. Cornerstone plans to offer more trainings to the Hampton Police Department as well as Portsmouth’s first responders.
