Dining Room Server
 
 Cornerstone at Hampton, an assisted living and memory support community in Hampton, NH, is hiring waitstaff to join our team. Memory Support Programming Assistant (Activities Assistant)
 
DESCRIPTION
Cornerstone at Hampton is seeking a patient, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, compassionate and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents in the memory support neighborhood. The role is a part time position at Cornerstone at Hampton in Hampton, NH. 
 
Available Shifts:
Wednesday and Thursday 11am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-6pm
 
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Assist in creating monthly programming for seniors that enhances their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­ being. 
  • Assist with developing, scheduling and directing daily programs and activities.
  • Drive residents to off-site activities in the community van.
  • Provide support with photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and public relations efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in event planning, coaching, or facilitation.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations; experience providing programs or services to the elderly is preferred.
  • Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
  • Must have a history of responsible, accident-free driving.

The cook will be responsible for preparing, planning and plating food for meals and special events, assisting with ordering, and accommodating residents’ dietary needs as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified candidates must be ServSafe certified and have an interest in working with a senior population. Candidates with previous experience in a senior care facility are preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a cook in a fast paced setting, a hospitality or healthcare environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of kitchen organization and food preparation
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Housekeeping Associate
 
DESCRIPTION:
Cornerstone at Hampton is seeking a hardworking and dedicated professional to join our team as a part time housekeeping associate! 

At our community, priority number one is the enhancement of each resident’s Quality of Life. We focus on the whole person, not just the treatment of their most basic physical or cognitive needs. Our method is to individualize a plan of care for each resident, providing just the right combination of services to optimize their overall well-being, independence, personal dignity and enrichment.
 
Available Shifts: 
Sunday-Thursday 3pm-9pm

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Follow cleaning and laundry schedule as outlined in housekeeping staff assignment.
  • Clean residents’ units on a weekly basis as assigned and perform emergency housekeeping duties when accidents occur.
  • Clean residents’ units and common space floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming. Clean movable furniture and fixtures. Dust, spot clean or wash, disinfect when necessary, polish where required. Empty, clean, and reline wastebaskets. Straighten or re­arrange furniture as directed.
  • Clean bathrooms. Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, and walls as directed. Wash windows and mirrors. Replenish bathroom supplies in common areas.
  • Clean walls, windows, doors, and ceilings. Disinfect as necessary. Clean ceiling fixtures as scheduled. Replace light bulbs as required.
  • Collect soiled laundry from residents’ apartment according to assigned laundry schedule. Sort, launder, fold and return clean laundry to each resident’s unit. Iron articles as requested by resident.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry work area on a daily basis.
  • Maintain equipment used in performance of duties.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, listen to resident needs and work with both small and large groups.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Be able to lift 60 pounds and operate equipment safely.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents of the community. The Wellness Nurse will also assist with the training and managing of our team of CNAs and serves as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians and care providers.

 

* The Wellness Nurse will also serve as “manager on duty” on a rotating weekend schedule

 

REQUIREMENTS:

A passion for working with seniors. A collaborative mindset that values teamwork. Excellent communication skills. A tech-forward approach to daily operations, especially in this “new normal”. An ability to maintain professional integrity and to build trust, especially in challenging situations. 

 

This position requires a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who is a graduate of an approved nursing program with valid New Hampshire nursing license or otherwise meets the requirements of Assisted Living regulations, or equivalent. Experience in a senior community environment and a means of transportation to complete assessments for new and returning residents is a MUST!
