DESCRIPTION:
You’ll be working alongside a group of friendly, compassionate people committed to doing the very best they can to take care of seniors. Our Resident Care Associates are responsible for the delivery of quality care to Cornerstone at Hampton’s residents while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, intellectual, and mental well being. Why work in Assisted Living? It is a pleasant working environment. We offer a homelike, residential setting. You will work with seniors who are frail and need personal care, but are not sick. You will have so many opportunities to participate in meaningful programs and to build close relationships with residents

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Direct personal care for seniors (Activities of Daily Living “ADLs” and Self-Administered Medication Management “SAMM”)
  • Compliance, reporting and record keeping
  • Assistance with social, wellness, art and fitness activity programming
  • Reminding/escorting residents to activities
  • Light housekeeping services
  • Assistance with community special events
  • Assistance with dining services, as needed
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), or Personal Care Associate (PCA)
  • Experienced in senior care
  • Compassionate, patient, committed to teamwork, dedicated, trustworthy, positive 
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak and understand English)
  • Able to handle physical requirements of the job (standing, sitting, bending, moving and transferring residents “one-person or two-person assist”)

DESCRIPTION
Cornerstone at Hampton, an assisted living and memory support community in Hampton, NH, is seeking a part time cook to join our team. If you enjoy working with seniors, come and be part of the team that gives our amazing residents and their guests an enjoyable and delicious dining experience!

Responsibilities
The cook will be responsible for preparing, planning and plating food for meals and special events, assisting with ordering, and accommodating residents’ dietary needs as required.

Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates must be ServSafe certified and have an interest in working with a senior population. Candidates with previous experience in a senior care facility are preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a cook in a fast paced setting, a hospitality or healthcare environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of kitchen organization and food preparation
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • A desire to serve seniors and a dedication to improving their quality of life is required.

Programming Assistant (Activity Assistant) – Part Time

DESCRIPTION
Cornerstone at Hampton is seeking a professional to serve as a Part Time Programming Assistant on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-7pm for its assisted living and memory support community. 

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, energetic and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our assisted living residents, as well as for residents in our Compass neighborhood who are living with dementia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Programming Assistant provides assistance in managing a comprehensive program for active independent seniors, as well as individuals with memory impairments, with the goal of enhancing their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­ being. As assigned, instructs and supervises other assistants, Resident Care Associates (RCAs) and volunteers in their participation in activity programming; and serves as a liaison with family members, the larger community and care providers.
  • The Programming Assistant may assist with developing, scheduling and directing these programs daily, including driving residents to off-site activities in the community van.
  • Duties also include providing support for photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and assisting with public relations efforts.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations.
  • Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families.
  • Must have a history of responsible, accident-free driving.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents of the community. The Wellness Nurse will also assist with the training and managing of our team of CNAs and serves as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians and care providers.

 

* The Wellness Nurse will also serve as “manager on duty” on a rotating weekend schedule

 

REQUIREMENTS / WHAT WE EXPECT:

A passion for working with seniors. A collaborative mindset that values teamwork. Excellent communication skills. A tech-forward approach to daily operations, especially in this “new normal”. An ability to maintain professional integrity and to build trust, especially in challenging situations. 

 

This position requires a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who is a graduate of an approved nursing program with valid Massachusetts nursing license or otherwise meets the requirements of EOEA Assisted Living regulations, or equivalent. Experience in a senior community environment and a means of transportation to complete assessments for new and returning residents is a MUST!
