At Compass on the Bay, we are prepared to work with you and your healthcare providers to provide you with the best possible care across a range of specialties. We can bring a variety of outside services right to our memory support community, connecting you with the professionals you need to maintain your mental and physical wellbeing. We also offer transportation to scheduled medical appointments in the area.
Whether you are already a resident at Compass on the Bay or are transitioning to your new home, you can feel rest easy knowing the care you need is close by, from in-house primary care services to strong partnerships with local care providers like physical and occupational therapists, social workers, dental/vision providers and more!
Primary Care Coordination
Physicians, Geriatric Care, Lab Services, X-Rays
We work with Gather Health to offer onsite primary care, bringing a highly skilled team right to our door! With Gather, residents have access to healthcare professionals with extensive experience in senior care. They foster a kind, comforting, and compassionate approach to care that leaves older adults feeling supported every step of the way. Gather provides a team of primary care physicians and medical technicians and is covered by Medicare.
We also recommend Nurse Practitioner Dr. Won Lee, who is onsite at the community weekly.
Mental Health and Wellness Services
Talk Therapy, Geripsych
When you need extra support to work through challenges and changes in life, our partnership with behavioral health service providers ensures that you have someone who is there for you. We collaborate with Supportive Care Behavioral Health to bring in a team of Psychiatrists and Advanced Practice Nurses, Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers specializing in senior care. Supportive Care is at the community once a week on Fridays.
With this partnership, residents have:
- Access to licensed professionals via onsite community visits or telehealth appointments
- Support for the many challenges life can bring, including difficult transitions, anxiety and depression, withdrawal from social activities, existing mental health concerns, loss and grief, and more
- Support for residents experiencing a medical or health condition change or behavioral changes
- Residents also utilize this service as an extra source of support to help them manage symptoms of cognitive decline and dementia or memory loss
Pharmacy Coordination
We work with Greater Boston Long Term Care Pharmacy, who provide traditional pharmacy services such as medication packaging and delivery directly to Compass on the Bay. With this partnership, residents have the worry-free and convenient process of getting their medications on time, right to their doorsteps. Benefits of this partnership include:
- Free medication delivery
- Comprehensive drug review by a pharmacist
- 24-hour services
- Pharmacy participates in resident assessment process
- Access to complete clinical support
Visiting Nurse and Speech, Physical & Occupational Therapy Resources
We can recommend a range of reputable visiting nursing associations and home health agencies to help you with conditions that require assessment, rehabilitation and recovery so that you can return to your normal activities as soon as possible.

When a resident needs to go to the hospital or rehab, we can refer families to trusted providers in the area. We keep in touch with residents throughout this entire process, even when they are not in our community, because we want to be able to welcome them back when they’re ready.
