Cornerstone at Hampton Provides Lunch to First Responders

HAMPTON — First responders have been working tirelessly since the onset of Covid-19 to keep people safe and deliver life-saving medical attention. Cornerstone at Hampton wanted to find a way to recognize this work and give back. The Assisted Living and Memory Support Community recently provided a barbecue lunch to the Hampton Police and Fire Departments as a special thank you for keeping their residents and the greater community safe. Summer favorites like lobster rolls, cornbread, baked beans and coleslaw were prepared by Cornerstone’s culinary team.

“Normally we would have the Hampton Fire and Police Chief in our community as part of our monthly Coffee with the Chiefs social,” says Katrina June, Cornerstone’s Executive Director. “We wanted to let them know that we are still thinking of them and look forward to when we can welcome them back!”
