Forestdale Helping Hands | Supporting Haitian Immigrants
Our associates and residents have been watching recent news about Haiti and wanted to find a way to help those in need. Thousands have been fleeing an escalating humanitarian crisis, many of whom are settling in our own backyard. Throughout the year, Forestdale Park will be raising funds and hosting drives to support the non-profit organizations who are providing invaluable aid and resources to the immigrants coming to our area, including:
- Immigrant Family Services Institute (new office opened in Malden)
- Immigrant Support Alliance in Melrose
- True Alliance Center, Inc
- Missionary Church of the Haitian Community in Somerville

Forestdale Park supports Haitian immigrants with ‘Helping Hands’ clothing drive
Forestdale Park Senior Living recently hosted a clothing drive for the Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI) in support of Haitian immigrants in need. A team of residents and staff from the assisted living community dropped off donations of new and lightly used clothing to the newly opened Malden location, making for a highly rewarding experience.
