Methuen Village’s Social Media Wins Award

Methuen Village Assisted Living and Memory Care Community Wins 2014 National Mature Media Award for Facebook Page

Families and residents at Methuen Village will really “like” this: The local assisted living community and their Facebook Page was recognized in the 23rd annual National Mature Media Awards Program. The program, presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs designed and produced for those who are 50 and older, the nation’s fastest-growing population group.

Methuen Village received a Merit Award in the Social Media category for an outstanding Facebook Page. The page, managed by Director of EnrichedLIFE Programming, Kathleen Corey-Rahme, is a favorite among families and residents for its vivid depiction of life at the assisted living community.

“Families regularly send along their appreciation for the page. ‘We get to see our Dad having fun!’ Was a direct quote from a family member,” says Corey-Rahme. “We take great care to make Facebook a tool for families to stay connected. We are providing a portal for those who cannot visit everyday, to see their Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt or Uncle.”

“Our Facebook Page offers a visual documentary of our community’s unique EnrichedLIFE programming,” says Gregory Batchelder, Methuen Village’s Executive Director. “It is also a great resource for those considering Methuen Village to get an inside look at what it is like to live in our community.”

Methuen Village was recognized from more than 1,000 entries that were reviewed and judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.
