Heights Crossing Receive Donated Flowers from Local Stop & Shop

BROCKTON, MA – Residents at Heights Crossing received a special delivery last week when Brockton’s Belmont Street Stop & Shop donated enough fresh flowers for the Assisted Living and Memory Support Community to create custom bouquets for each resident.

Cassandra Furtado, a Programming Assistant at the community, came up with the idea of delivering flowers to residents’ apartments as a way to brighten up their day. When Heights Crossing called Stop & Shop to ask if they had surplus flowers that they would be willing to donate to the community, they were overwhelmed by the response!

“We want to say a huge thank you to the team at Stop & Shop for their kindness and generosity in donating so many fresh, beautiful flowers,” said Kathy Hermanson, Assistant Executive Director at Heights Crossing. “Thanks to them, we were able to create a bouquet for every resident to keep in their apartment. It really brought joy to everyone.”
