Heights Crossing Residents Create Care Packages for Deploying Troops

BROCKTON, MA – Residents at Heights Crossing came together to create dozens of care packages for deploying soldiers to take with them as they travel overseas. Thanks to generous donations from friends, family and the local community, residents were able to make more than 100 care packages, thank you cards and additional supplies to be sent out.

All of the cards and gifts were delivered to The Cambridge Homes, a sister community to Heights Crossing, where Executive Director Teresa Burns is collecting them for her son’s unit, which deployed earlier this month.

“It was really special to be able to give back to our troops in this way, especially when it hits so close to home for our sister community,” said Peter McConnell, Executive Director at Heights Crossing. “We want to wish them all safe travels, and hopefully these notes and care packages will help spread some cheer during their long journey.”
