Emerson Wellness Center in Concord To Host ‘Understanding Dementia in the Real World’
Emerson Wellness Center, as part of their Wellness Classes for Mind and Body Series will host Understanding Dementia in the Real World, on Monday May 15, 2017 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
The program, led by Maryellen ing of Concord Park Senior Living as part of their Dementia Friendly Massachusetts initiative, offers an interactive discussion of what dementia is and how to recognize it, the challenges a person living with dementia, their family and caregivers may face, the stigma of dementia and how to combat it and positive and appropriate communication tips for working with people with dementia.
