DESCRIPTION:
You’ll be working alongside a group of friendly, compassionate people committed to doing the very best they can to take care of seniors. Our Resident Care Associates are responsible for the delivery of quality care to Concord Park’s assisted living residents while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, intellectual, and mental well being. Why work in Assisted Living? It is a pleasant working environment. We offer a homelike, residential setting. You will work with seniors who are frail and need personal care, but are not sick. You will have so many opportunities to participate in meaningful programs and to build close relationships with residents

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Direct personal care for seniors (Activities of Daily Living “ADLs” and Self-Administered Medication Management “SAMM”)
  • Compliance, reporting and record keeping
  • Assistance with social, wellness, art and fitness activity programming
  • Reminding/escorting residents to activities
  • Light housekeeping services
  • Assistance with community special events
  • Assistance with dining services, as needed
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
  2. Experienced in senior care
  3. Compassionate, patient, committed to teamwork, dedicated, trustworthy, positive 
  4. Fluent in English (read, write, speak and understand English)
  5. Able to handle physical requirements of the job (standing, sitting, bending, moving and transferring residents “one-person or two-person assist”)

DESCRIPTION
Concord Park, a renowned assisted living and memory support community in Concord, is seeking a professional to serve as a part time Programming Assistant. The Programming Assistant will assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents in our Compass neighborhood who are living with dementia. The ideal candidate will have evening and Sunday availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Programming Assistant provides assistance in managing a comprehensive program for active independent seniors, as well as individuals with memory impairments, with the goal of enhancing their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­being. As assigned, instructs and supervises other assistants, Resident Care Associates (RCAs) and volunteers in their participation in activity programming; and serves as a liaison with family members, the larger community and care providers.
 
The Programming Assistant may assist with developing, scheduling and directing these programs daily, including driving residents to off-site activities in the community van. Duties also include providing support for photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and assisting with public relations efforts.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, energetic and organized. Experience in a senior community as well as basic computer skills are required.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Must have 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations. Experience providing programs or services to the elderly. Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families. Computer skills required.
  • Must be flexible, a good team player.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to express self clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a history of responsible, accident-free driving.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must be ServSafe certified and have an interest in working with a senior population. Candidates with previous experience in a senior care facility are preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a cook in a fast paced setting, a hospitality or healthcare environment preferred
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Working knowledge of kitchen organization and food preparation
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • A desire to serve seniors and a dedication to improving their quality of life is required.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Responsibilities include dish washing, heavy cleaning of kitchen counters & storeroom, mopping floors, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The utility person will work with volunteers, residents of the community and other staff members to complete tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, listen to resident needs and work with both small and large groups.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Be able to lift 60 pounds and operate equipment safely.
  • Have a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
