DESCRIPTION
Cornerstone at Canton, a renowned assisted living and memory support community in Canton is seeking a professional to serve as a part-time Programming Assistant. The Programming Assistant will assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents in our Connected Life program who are living with cognitive impairment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Programming Assistant provides assistance in managing a comprehensive program for active independent seniors, as well as individuals with memory impairments, with the goal of enhancing their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­being. As assigned, instructs and supervises other assistants, Resident Care Associates (RCAs) and volunteers in their participation in activity programming; and serves as a liaison with family members, the larger community and care providers.
 
The Programming Assistant may assist with developing, scheduling and directing these programs daily, including driving residents to off-site activities in the community van. Duties also include providing support for photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and assisting with public relations efforts.
 
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, energetic and organized. Experience in a senior community as well as basic computer skills are required.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Must have 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations. Experience providing programs or services to the elderly. Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families. Computer skills required.
  • Must be flexible, a good team player.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to express self clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a history of responsible, accident-free driving.

DESCRIPTION:
You’ll be working alongside a group of friendly, compassionate people committed to doing the very best they can to take care of seniors. Our Resident Care Associates are responsible for the delivery of quality care to Cornerstone at Canton’s assisted living residents while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, intellectual, and mental well being. Why work in Assisted Living? It is a pleasant working environment. We offer a homelike, residential setting. You will work with seniors who are frail and need personal care, but are not sick. You will have so many opportunities to participate in meaningful programs and to build close relationships with residents


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Direct personal care for seniors (Activities of Daily Living “ADLs” and Self-Administered Medication Management “SAMM”)
  • Compliance, reporting and record keeping
  • Assistance with social, wellness, art and fitness activity programming
  • Reminding/escorting residents to activities
  • Light housekeeping services
  • Assistance with community special events
  • Assistance with dining services, as needed
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
  • Experienced in senior care
  • Compassionate, patient, committed to teamwork, dedicated, trustworthy, positive 
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak and understand English)
  • Able to handle physical requirements of the job (standing, sitting, bending, moving and transferring residents “one-person or two-person assist”)

Cornerstone at Canton, an assisted living and memory support community in Canton, MA, is seeking a full time cook to join our team. If you enjoy working with seniors, come and be part of the team that gives our amazing residents and their guests an enjoyable and delicious dining experience!

Available Shifts
Full Time: 11am- 7:30pm, every other weekend
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
The cook is responsible for preparing, planning and plating food for meals and special events. The ideal candidate will have the ability to accommodate residents’ dietary needs as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must be ServSafe certified and have an interest in working with a senior population. Candidates with previous experience in a senior care facility are preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a cook in a fast paced setting, a hospitality or healthcare environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of kitchen organization and food preparation
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • A desire to serve seniors and a dedication to improving their quality of life is required.

Cornerstone at Canton is looking to add to our team of excellence, seeking an experienced and self-motivated Director of Community Relations who will be responsible for all sales and outreach activities and results necessary to achieve and exceed the community’s sales and move-in goals, continuously maximizing occupancy. 

 

The Director of Community Relations develops meaningful relationships with residents, families, and community partners, plans and conducts presentations showcasing our services and innovative programs, ensures a smooth transition for new residents throughout the entire sales/move-in process.
