Resident Care Associate (CNA, HHA)
 
Cornerstone at Canton in Canton, MA is hiring caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides to serve as Resident Care Associates. Our Resident Care Associates provide direct care to seniors, are committed to providing a safe home-like environment, have a passion for helping others, and enjoy having fun!

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Spending quality time with seniors and providing direct personal care
  • Joining or leading fun activities of your choice with the residents
  • Tracking care and other tasks with our easy-to-use electronic health record system
  • Light housekeeping services, with the support of the housekeeping team
  • Assistance with dining services, as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), strongly  preferred
  • Desire to work with seniors, required; Experience preferred but all necessary training is provided for associates
  • Compassionate, patient, committed to teamwork, dedicated, trustworthy, positive attitude
No certification or license? Talk to us. We have internal training programs that once completed, may qualify you for this position.

Dining Room Server
 
DESCRIPTION:
Cornerstone at Canton, and assisted living and memory support community, is seeking Dining Room Servers to join our growing team. If you enjoy working with seniors, come and be part of the team that gives our amazing residents and their guests an enjoyable and delicious dining experience!
 
Available Shifts
Opening 1: Monday- Sunday: 4pm-7pm (Part Time)
Opening 2: Monday-Sunday: 7am-2pm (Full Time)

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Wait staff is responsible for serving meals to residents and guests in the dining room, assisting cooks in preparation of meals, and setting clearing tables in the dining room along with other cleaning tasks that are assigned by the Director of Dining Experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred as well as a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed are required.
  • Candidates with ServSafe certification preferred.
  • A desire to serve seniors and a dedication to improving their quality of life is required.

Memory Support Programming/Activities Assistant

DESCRIPTION:
Our community is seeking a professional to serve a part-time Programming Assistant for its memory support community. The Programming Assistant will assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents in our Compass neighborhood who are living with dementia.
 
Availability:
Monday- Tuesday 9:30AM-1:30PM, Friday-Saturday 9:30AM-5:00PM
 
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
The Programming Assistant provides assistance in managing a comprehensive program for active independent seniors, as well as individuals with memory impairments, with the goal of enhancing their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­being. As assigned, instructs and supervises other assistants, Resident Care Associates (RCAs) and volunteers in their participation in activity programming; and serves as a liaison with family members, the larger community and care providers.
  • The Programming Assistant may assist with developing, scheduling and directing these programs daily, including driving residents to off-site activities in the community van.
  • Duties also include providing support for photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and assisting with public relations efforts.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, energetic and organized. Experience in a senior community as well as basic computer skills are required.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Must have 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations. Experience providing programs or services to the elderly. Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families. Computer skills required.
  • Must be flexible, a good team player.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to express self clearly, verbally and in writing.

Cornerstone at Canton is seeking a dynamic, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, energetic and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents. The role is a full time position at Cornerstone at Canton in Canton, MA. 
 
Availability:
10:30am-6:30pm, flexible days 
 
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Assist in creating monthly programming for seniors that enhances their social, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well­ being. 
  • Assist with developing, scheduling and directing daily programs and activities.
  • Drive residents to off-site activities in the community van.
  • Provide support with photography, the creation of a monthly newsletter, updating the community Facebook page, and public relations efforts.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in event planning, coaching, or facilitation.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years experience working with the elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations; experience providing programs or services to the elderly is preferred.
  • Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
  • Must have a history of responsible, accident-free driving.
