Erin Whalen, Alzheimer's Care Specialist, Senior Living Residences Erin joined SLR from the Boston University School of Medicine’s Alzheimer's Disease Center to help create cutting edge treatment programs for assisted living residents. She also coordinates SLR’s participation in local and national research programs and manages SLR’s public education efforts, including her popular blog www.alzcareblog.com.

Nancy Emerson Lombardo, Ph.D., “Memory Nutrition” Advisor Nancy partners with SLR to bring the Memory Preservation Nutrition® Program to SLR communities. She co-founded the National Alzheimer's Association in 1980 and has spent much of her career researching the effects of nutrition on the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease. She is President of HealthCare Insights and serves as adjunct research assistant professor of neurology at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Eric Steinberg, MSN, RN, CS, CANP, Clinical Consultant Eric consults with SLR Program Directors on individual resident cases to reduce unnecessary and disruptive hospitalizations. A certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Alzheimer’s, Eric manages the national HOPE Research Study at the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

She most enjoys developing enrichment activity programming, including SLR’s Reconnections Program, leading staff training, and care plan development.

Mary Baum, Concord Park Mary is a local leader in the New England Alzheimer's care field. She is a founding member of the Alliance of Alzheimer’s Care Directors and a frequent presenter at the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH chapter annual conference. She has a strong interest in working with families and caregivers and has led an Alzheimer’s Support Group for over a decade.
